  Human and Animal Homeopathy

I started pursuing my passion for homeopathy in 1999 when my 16 year old dog Toby became ill.  Toby was suffering from kidney insufficiency, liver damage, ataxia, arthritis, cataracts, hearing loss, dementia and he had stopped eating.  His vet told me he was simply a very old dog and nothing more could be done for him, however I was not prepared to give up.  I took him to Adored Beast Veterinary clinic (the first strictly holistic vet clinic in Canada) owned and run by Julie Anne Lee, a gifted homeopath and healer who worked alongside a holistic veterinarian. They started Toby on a natural raw diet (which I had not heard of before) and treated him homeopathically and naturopathically.  His recovery was nothing short of miraculous and Toby lived another 2 years with good quality until the last 3 months. He died peacefully at home at the age of 18.

Encouraged and astounded at the power of homeopathy and holistic medicine to help my dear sweet animal companion, I left a successful 25 year career in radio news broadcasting and journalism to begin my homeopathic education.  I enrolled in the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy, a 4 year human homeopathic program and graduated in 2007 with a Diploma of Classical Homeopathy (DCH).  I then completed the 3 year program of the College of Animal Homeopathic Medicine (founded by Lee) which combined Animal Sciences with Veterinary Homeopathy.

Throughout this time, I was working in veterinary medicine in all aspects:  receptionist, assistant, technician, manager, client care coordinator, as Julie Lee's homeopathic assistant and right hand, being mentored by her and eventually moving fully into the role of animal homeopath.  I continue to be mentored by Julie through one on one training and her on-line education program (julieannelee.com).  I am deeply devoted to holistic and homeopathic care for animals and educating clients about over-vaccination, the benefits of natural diet, supplementation and homeopathy.  I share life with 3 dogs and 7 cats.  They are the precious and beloved creatures who make me a better, more compassionate, patient and loving person.  I am so grateful to be following my childhood and lifelong passion for animals and pursuing my deep desire to help animals and their people heal.

Over the past 20 years on this homeopathic journey I have had both a human and animal practice and apply my clinical experience to the practice of homeopathy for both my two legged and 4 legged patients.
